If you're in Huntington next month, check out this week of honoring the legacy of Marshall's 1970 football team. Some great events coordinated by the Families of the 75 Alumni Chapter.

The Marshall University Foundation and Marshall University Alumni Association, in partnership with the 75 Families Alumni Chapter, invite you to a special 20th anniversary commemorative screening of "We Are Marshall" at the historic Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center on Friday, November 13 at 8 pm.

More than a film screening, this unforgettable evening will bring the Marshall family and Huntington community together to honor the 75 lives lost in the Nov. 14, 1970, plane crash, recognize those forever impacted and celebrate the remarkable resilience that shaped the university and the city in the years that followed.

In celebration of the film's 20th anniversary, the Keith-Albee lobby will be transformed into a special commemorative exhibition featuring authentic film memorabilia and artifacts from Marshall University Special Collections. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the history behind the film and experience the enduring legacy of a story that continues to inspire generations.

The evening will also feature an exclusive fireside chat with Marshall University President Brad D. Smith and Jamie Linden, screenwriter of "We Are Marshall," offering a unique perspective on the film, its creation and the lasting significance of sharing Marshall's story.

As a special tribute to this milestone anniversary, the first 1,000 attendees will receive an exclusive commemorative keepsake. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on a one-of-a-kind, custom-crafted piece by BearWood Company during a special silent auction.

You work hard. We think you could use a hotdog and b**r on a nice autumn day.

Join us October 11th in Annandale for a casual barbecue with all your favorite DC-area Marshall alumni as we chat, hang out, and probably offer some door prizes because, who are we kidding, we have sooo much swag to give away.

While registration is free, we recommend attendees make a $25 donation to the Marshall For All campaign under the DC Alumni Chapter. Help us reach some fundraising goals in exchange for some food and socializing.
