Family Weekend 2025 is October 3-October 5! This year's Weekend includes campus tours, AU Museum exhibit tours, sustainability & arboretum tours and many other exciting events. Families are invited to return to campus to join with students, faculty, staff and alumni to experience AU performances, talks, tours, food, interactive sessions, and loads of fun!

First-Year students can learn about sustainability and AU's Airlie Farm during the Sustain AU Pre-Orientation Program! Located in Warrenton, VA, Airlie's 20 acres of farmland produces 20,000 pounds of produce/year and is a longstanding hub for sustainability and social action. The first Earth Day was announced at Airlie in 1969, and it has hosted conferences for civil rights and LGBTQ+ rights groups. Airlie was gifted to AU in 2016 and since then, AU has expanded its involvement, hosting retreats and excursions on the farm to give students, faculty and staff the opportunity to see the farm up close and offering farm-to-table dining options on campus.
