2023 Doomsday Clock Town Hall at Georgetown University

On Tuesday, January 23, 2023, we hosted the 2023 Doomsday Clock Town Hall, which consisted of two panels with members of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists and The Elders.

The Doomsday Clock is now set at 90 seconds to midnight - the closest it has ever been set to midnight.

The Peace Science Society will be holding an online webinar on the topic of “Pandemics, Politics, and Peace” on November 12, at 10am (Central, US). This session will be moderated by our President Scott Gates, and brings together a stellar group of scholars including Tanisha Fazal (U Minnesota), Mansoob Murshed (U Coventry), Wonjae Hwang (U Tennessee), and Sara Polo (U Essex). We will be discussing the intersection between peace, conflict, and public health, with a focus on how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the dynamics of violence.
