Our organization was launched by a group of dedicated leaders committed to advancing the finance and accounting professions in the Asian and Pacific Islander communities.Since our founding in 2005, our mission and focus have expanded to include individuals and companies from other disciplines who share common objectives of reaching their optimal business potential. Our Membership

Membership is open to those who share our mission regardless of ethnicity and professional background. The majority of our members come from fields where there are high concentrations of Pan-Asians - accounting, financial services, technology, engineering, professional services, and others in business, government, academia and the community. Our Professional Chapters

Our professional chapters are located in Charlotte, Connecticut/Westchester, Greater Atlanta, Greater Philadelphia, Greater Washington, Houston, Los Angeles, Midwest, New England, New York, Northern California, North Texas, New Jersey, Seattle, Toronto, and Twin Cities. Our Community

Asian Americans have cultural origins from more than thirty-two ethnic groups. Of those, six major groups account for more than 95 percent of the Asian Americans in the United States: Asian Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese. The Asian American and Pacific Islander population in the U.S. (hereafter referred to as "Asians") is a rapidly growing, affluent and highly educated population. The role that this group plays in the global marketplace continues to grow with the economic growth of Asia, especially China, India and Southeast Asia. The convergence of all these indicators demonstrates that Asian professionals are a critical element of business growth strategies and represent a pipeline of strong talent for companies. Our Future

Ascend plays a vital role in helping global companies and our members align their objectives for mutual success and we have rapidly become one of the largest Pan-Asian professional membership organizations. Our national and regional chapter programs help us:
