A wonderful start to the new academic year! We kicked things off with encouraging and appreciative remarks from our Senior Leadership Team, followed by engaging activities centered around our theme: Connect, Reconnect, Recharge. It was an inspiring and energizing way for faculty to begin the year together!

Senior Spotlight: Lakeisha Tillery 🎓🩺

Please join us in celebrating Lakeisha Tillery, one of our outstanding Associate Degree of Nursing graduates!

Lakeisha worked incredibly hard throughout the nursing program, meeting every challenge with determination and perseverance. Through the long days, demanding coursework, and countless moments that tested her, she never lost sight of her goal: becoming a nurse. Her dedication and commitment have truly paid off, and we couldn’t be more proud of her accomplishment!

Now, as Lakeisha begins this exciting new chapter, she is exploring RN opportunities and looking for the right place to begin her nursing career. We have no doubt that her compassion, work ethic, and determination will make her an incredible nurse.

Congratulations, Lakeisha! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see where your nursing journey takes you!

🎓✨ Associate Degree of Nursing Senior Spotlight: Diana Madrigal ✨🎓

One of Diana’s most memorable moments at Carroll was walking across the stage at graduation. She shared that the ceremony was made especially meaningful by seeing Carroll students, faculty, and families all come together to celebrate such a huge accomplishment. ❤️💙

As Diana looks toward the future, she plans to pursue a career as an oncology nurse, where she hopes to advocate for and support her patients every step of the way. She’s excited to put everything she has learned into practice and is proud to become part of the 10% of Latinx nurses in the profession.

We are so proud of you, Diana, and can’t wait to see the impact you make in the lives of your future patients! 🩺🎓✨

Senior Nursing Spotlight. Jenna Mohler!

What is your most memorable experience at Carroll?

My most memorable moment probably has to be freshman year when I met many of my close friends. I have kept the same friends for most of my 4 years at Carroll and I wouldn't have it any other way. There were many late night laughs, long study sessions, and many fun adventures. I could not have gotten through nursing school without them, which is why freshman year is so memorable for me.

What are your plans for after graduation?

After graduation, I will be a Registered Nurse Resident at UW Madison hospital. I will be on the internal medicine unit which I am so excited for! Eventually, I aim to transition to a pediatric clinic!

Senior Nursing Spotlight. Taya Schreiter!

What was your most memorable experience at Carroll?

My most memorable experience was the connections I made with the people in my clinical groups, along with planning my wedding and having my nursing friends be there to support me on my wedding day!

What are your plans after graduation?

I will be moving to Washington state with the goal of specializing in women's health and eventually going back to school to be a women's health nurse practitioner!

Senior Nursing Spotlight. Courtney Kaufman!

What was your most memorable experience at Carroll?

My most memorable experience while at CU was my study abroad trip to Spain last summer! I gained so much confidence and independence solo traveling and it taught me that I’m capable of much more than I may think. Back on campus, I enjoyed being an RA and helping freshmen with the college transition.

What are your plans after graduation?

I’ve accepted an offer at Aurora Oshkosh in their med-surg unit. Eventually, I’d like to transition into travel nursing to experience all the different parts of the U.S.
