Congratulations to our Art Majors on their recent Senior Thesis Exhibits this Spring: Michaela Czech, Alicia Maciel, Saribel Guevara, Colette Poree, Neysa Thompson, and Saniah Williams!

Pictured here first is graduating senior Colette Poree with donor Jane Hamilton. Collette and Neysa won the Top Hamilton Family Foundation Art Scholarship a few years ago and invited Jane to their Senior Show this past weekend. The Hamilton Family Foundation Art Scholarships are awarded annually by Art Faculty and are based on students' Sophomore Portfolios and progress in the Major.

Congratulations to Carroll Student Melissa George and Art Faculty Members Amanda Crary Gallas and Amy Cropper on their BIG WINS at the recent Milwaukee Area Teachers of Art (MATA) Spring 2026 Exhibition at the Waukesha Public Library.

Prof. Crary Gallas' mixed media piece "Navigating the Long Nights" won the Carol Rowan Memorial BEST IN SHOW Award and Prof. Cropper's sculptural piece "Excavation Two" won the David Powell Memorial Award. Senior Art Education Major Melissa George also won the Thomas Sobon Memorial Award.

And, they were lucky to see Becky Schmidt '00 and Emeritus Professor of Art Peggy Farrell at the Exhibition, whose mixed-media silkscreen piece "Coconut Crabs Last Dance" won the Pelican Award of Excellence.

Our Carroll Art Program is AMAZING - what a fantastic way to end this academic year!

Please join us for an artist’s talk and reception for Wild Words by Millian Gang Pham

Millian Pham received her BFA in painting and printmaking from the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma, and her MFA in sculpture from the University of Florida. Pham uses her art practice to dismantle social and cultural expectations through the mediums of painting, printmaking, sculpture, performance, and installation. Her visual research has been exhibited nationally and internationally in Canada, Pakistan, Korea, and across the United States. She is currently the Studio Art Foundations Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Art at Auburn University in Alabama, where she keeps her studio practice.

This exhibition is on view February 24 – March 28, 2026.
