Our new cosmetology students are building their skills one section and one rod at a time! Today they worked on perm wrapping, practicing their sectioning, placement, tension, and technique on their mannequins.

There’s a lot to learn in these first few weeks, and we love watching their confidence grow with every new skill!

The mannequins are officially out!

Our 2026–2027 Cosmetology students had their first hands-on day working with their mannequins and learning the fundamentals of sectioning and parting.

These beginning skills may seem simple, but they create the foundation for so much of what our students will learn throughout the program. We can’t wait to watch their skills, confidence and creativity grow from here!

Our students were given the opportunity to let their creativity take the lead, creating a complete look inspired by any style, color, character or idea they could imagine.

Last day for the Class of 2025–2026.

It’s hard to put into words what it feels like to reach this day. Over the past year, we’ve watched these students learn, grow, struggle, laugh, support one another, build confidence and become professionals.

There were long days, challenging moments, lots of practice, and so many accomplishments along the way. We have watched friendships form, skills develop and personalities shine.

Today, they walked out of Studio Max as students for the last time.

We are incredibly proud of how far each of them has come and excited to see where this industry takes them next. We hope they always remember that Studio Max was just the beginning.

Congratulations, Class of 2025–2026. We will miss having you here, but we cannot wait to watch you succeed.

A big thank you to the Great Clips team for spending time with our cosmetology students!

Our students had the opportunity to watch a modern mullet haircut demonstration while learning new cutting techniques and tips from professionals working in the industry.

A huge thank you to Sydney and the NTC Accounting team for spending time with our cosmetology students!

They shared valuable information about the business side of the beauty industry, including budgeting, record keeping, taxes, self-employment, business expenses, and more. Our students also had the opportunity to ask questions about the financial side of working for themselves and owning a business.

Learning how to provide great services is only one part of building a successful career. We appreciate our NTC colleagues sharing their expertise and helping prepare our students for their futures!
