Thank you Trooper Jonathan Keller and Trooper Zachary Freiberg for taking the time and giving a passionate presentation to the club!

They gave an amazing presentation which gave the club members an insight on the state patrol and their responsibilities. They covered the differences from state patrol from municipal departments, the application process, covered other topic and of course answered lots of questions.

Thank you Officer Fritsch and Deputy Thompson!

Our club members had the opportunity to hear from Officer Fritsch with K9 Loki from the Wausau Police Department and Deputy Thompson with K9 Joker from the Marathon County Sheriff's Office. They talked about their career paths, daily responsibilities, and some of the experiences they’ve had while serving in law enforcement, as well as what it’s like to be a K9 handler working alongside their K9 partners.

They also took time to answer many questions from our students and gave our club a closer look at the important role K9 teams in protecting our communities safe.

The NTC Criminal Justice Club has been working hard throughout this semester, volunteering and collaborating with the community. With this amazing new group of members, we have participated in helping out with the fall ride, Hola Festival, Pine Grove Cemetery, and celebrated at the Elks Lodge emerging leaders event, where our participants won! The club has lots planned, so stay tuned for more posts and updates!

Today the Criminal Justice Club had the honor of putting on a retirement/celebration party for one of the Criminal Justice Program instructors Paul Clarke Jr. He has been an invaluable asset to the Criminal Justice Program for the past 20 years. We wish him and his family the best moving forward!
Special thank you to the NTC culinary program for catering the event.
