❤️ Sickle Cell Awareness Month | September 2026 ❤️

This month, we're raising awareness about the realities of living with sickle cell disease. Did you know that sickle cell disease can affect multiple organs, including the lungs, kidneys, heart, and liver?

Let's take the time to learn the facts, support those living with SCD, advocate for better care, and support research. Together, we can turn awareness into action and create stronger tomorrows. ❤️🩸

Educate. Advocate. Support. Serve.

Delta Zeta Chapter Kicks Off a New Sorority Year!

Delta Zeta Chapter proudly held its first sorority meeting of the new year yesterday! We were excited to come together in sisterhood, fellowship, and service as we prepare for another meaningful year.

A special highlight of our meeting was our guest speaker, Ms. Mia Washington, who shared her powerful personal journey of living with sickle cell disease. She spoke openly about being diagnosed and dealing with the disease since she was a little girl, the challenges she has faced along the way, and how she continues to manage life with sickle cell disease today.

Her story was a beautiful reminder of the importance of awareness, resilience, support, and advocacy. We are grateful for her willingness to share her experience and help us better understand the realities of living with sickle cell disease.

As we begin this new sorority year, Delta Zeta is committed to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action while continuing to make a positive difference in our community. ❤️💛

Thank you to our guest speaker for educating, inspiring, and reminding us that every story has the power to make an impact!
