Love working with youth? Passionate about agriculture, education, and making a real impact in your community?

Join the MSU Extension team as a 4-H Program Assistant in Wayne County! In this role, you'll bring agriculture to life for young people through hands-on learning experiences that inspire curiosity, build knowledge, and connect youth to the world around them. You'll help young people explore where their food comes from, discover the importance of agriculture in everyday life, and develop a greater appreciation for how agriculture impacts our communities.

Pay: $18/hour; Schedule: Up to 10 hours per week; Application Deadline: August 30, 2026

On Saturday, August 22, in partnership with the Michigan State University Extension 4-H, Detroit Partnership for Food Learning & Innovation and Arukah, will host our Annual Wellness Festival.

As part of this year's festival, we are also hosting a Back-to-School Giveaway with a goal of providing 150 students with backpacks filled with essential school supplies. We are inviting businesses and community partners to join us in helping Detroit students begin the school year prepared, confident, and equipped for success. We will be collecting until August 20th.
