Wayne State College is proud to support efforts that make a difference for children and families in our community. Through the Wayne Area Dolly Parton Imagination Library, local children have the opportunity to receive books at home and begin building a love of reading from an early age.

As people around the world remember Dolly Parton and the tremendous legacy she created through the Imagination Library, we are especially proud of the Wayne State faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners who have helped grow this important program right here in our community.

Dolly believed in the power of books and education to change lives, a belief that certainly resonates with all of us at Wayne State and Wayne Community. We are grateful to everyone who continues to support childhood literacy and invest in the next generation of readers and learners.

Celebrating future educators! 🎓🍎

Dr. Acuña visited the Elk Point-Jefferson School District in Elk Point, South Dakota to attend Jadyn Crippen’s Education Signing Day. Dr. Legler attended Canton Middle and High School in Canton, South Dakota to celebrate Allison Vande Vegte’s Education Signing Day.
We are excited to share that both students will be enrolling at Wayne State College this fall to pursue careers in education. Wayne State College is proud to support these outstanding future teachers as they begin their journey into the education profession. Congratulations, Jadyn and Allison! 👏
