Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity. Theta Kappa chapter at William Paterson University. Chartered May 4, 1996.

Sigma Alpha Iota, International Music Fraternity, was organized in 1903 at the University School of Music in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We are the Theta Kappa Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music fraternity, from William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. We currently have 6 members and are always looking for future sisters that share our love of music!

B.M.Music Education-Saxophone "I am very excited and interested in joining Sigma Alpha Iota because I want to be apart of a wonderful group of woman who unconditionally love and support one another in both music and life. Being apart of a community of woman musicians is very inspiring and everyday I am inspired by them. And I hope to also be an inspiration to other musicians. I love all the sisters so much. I'm not really interesting but I know 61 digits of pi and I'm a weirdo who sometimes likes to blow through the recorder with her nose, while playing "My Heart Will Go On." "I became interested in Sigma Alpha Iota because as soon as I got on campus, I just saw an amazing group of really fun girls who all shared a love for music like me! I can always turn to the sisters in a time of need and know that they're there. I love my girls!!! I'm actually a very boring person but I competitively danced for 10 years so that's kind of cool."

Please help Puerto Rico in this time of need. Listed in the photos (if you swipe left) are different organizations currently helping.

Below is information on the disaster.

"A magnitude 6.4 quake struck Puerto Rico early Tuesday killing at least one person, injuring nine others and knocking out power across the U.S. territory.
Hundreds of homes and businesses in the southwest region of the country were damaged or destroyed, and thousands of Puerto Ricans were left without water and power, which has also affected telecommunications. In addition, more than 1,000 people were staying in government shelters.
Since Dec. 28, hundreds of quakes have rattled the island nation that is still struggling to rebuild after Hurricane Maria devastated much of Puerto Rico in September 2017."
