Join us in congratulating Nicholaus Stevens Jr. on earning his High School Equivalency through our Natchez Co-Lin Adult Education Program!
Nicholaus shared that he returned to school because he recognized âthe need for a high school level education within the workforce,â noting that more and more jobs require it every day. His determination and commitment to creating a better future truly paid off.
Through the help of the Second Chance Funding, Nicholaus was able to complete his GED program quickly without the burden of paying for testing costs, while also receiving support for attending classes. Programs like this continue to open doors and change lives!
Like many adult learners, returning to a classroom setting was challenging at first, but Nicholaus said the friendliness and support from his instructor and classmates helped him overcome those obstacles and feel welcomed along the journey.
When asked what advice he would give others thinking about coming back to school, he said:
âStudy, study, study. Repetition is key to learning the core ideas of any subject.â
Nicholaus plans to continue exploring career and college opportunities as he takes the next steps toward his future. We are so proud of all he has accomplished and cannot wait to see what comes next for him!
Congratulations again, Nicholaus!
