CBIZ offers many services to area businesses and residents. The focus of this page will be featuring upcoming open enrollment or general interest classes. With a vision to partner with business, industry and the community to develop a skilled, productive and diverse community of learners enjoying enrichment of career and quality of life, The Center for Business (CBIZ) has been serving the Southeas

t Iowa region since 1988. CBIZ delivers the following relevant, creative, customer-focused solutions to businesses and residents:
• Customized Training – credit and non-credit courses can be customized to meet the specific needs of area businesses and industries. Open enrollment courses are available on a regular basis as scheduled in the Options catalog. The Options catalog is updated several times a year, arriving by mail and available online at www.cbiziowa.com
• Assessment – new hire assessment and work skills assessment for current employees
• Professional Consultative Services – consultants experienced in their specialties offer services to business and industry to assist in solving specific operational problems.
• Iowa Small Business Development Center- free, confidential, one on one business consulting is areas of business start-up, business and marketing plan development, financing, accounting, and business succession.
• Training Funding Incentives – CBIZ administers funding to support to businesses and industries which are expanding their workforce or retraining existing workers.
• Meeting and Conference Facilities – The RiverPark Place Burlington facility offers training, meeting and conference rooms for use by business, industry and the community. All rooms are appointed with the highest level of presentation technology, including LCD projectors, teleconferencing phones and videoconferencing equipment.

That's a wrap on Kidtek 2026!

What an incredible summer of exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning! These amazing students had fun discovering STEM careers, making new friends, building confidence, and developing new skills through exciting, hands-on experiences.

A huge thank you to our generous scholarship donors, partner organizations who opened their facilities and shared their expertise, our talented instructors, and everyone who helped make this summer possible. Your support creates opportunities for young learners to explore future careers and discover new passions.

We also want to thank our campers and their families for making Kidtek another unforgettable summer. We can't wait to see everyone back for even more adventures next year!

Our future engineers dove into the exciting world of robotics by building, programming, and problem-solving their way through fun, hands-on challenges. From first builds to final missions, these young innovators showed creativity, teamwork, and determination every step of the way.

Our young welders suited up, learned foundational welding skills, practiced safe shop techniques, and created projects they were proud to take home. Along the way, they explored exciting careers in the skilled trades and discovered what it's like to work in the world of welding.

What an incredible week at The Med Lab: Experiment, Learn, Heal! Campers stepped into the world of medicine by exploring healthcare careers, conducting hands-on experiments, and putting their skills to the test in SCC's high-tech patient simulation lab.

From solving real-life medical scenarios to discovering what it takes to care for others, these future professionals learned, collaborated, and had a blast along the way. Great job, campers!

Our 7th–9th grade chefs chopped, mixed, baked, and created their way through a week of hands-on culinary adventures. Along the way, they sharpened their kitchen skills, explored food science, and served up some impressive creations!

A big thank you to BCSD Burlington Community School District for hosting camp at their fantastic culinary arts kitchen.

Culinary Science Explorers wrapped up another delicious week of fun and discovery!

Our young chefs put on their aprons and became food scientists as they explored the fascinating science behind cooking. From experimenting with ingredients to discovering the secrets behind favorite snacks and treats, campers learned that the kitchen is the perfect place for creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning.

Case Closed! Another fun week of Junior Detectives camp is in the books!

These young investigators put their detective skills to the test as they explored the exciting world of forensic science. From dusting for fingerprints and analyzing clues to learning how DNA, bones, and blood can help solve crimes, campers experienced what it's like to be a real crime scene investigator.
