What an inspiring day at Mary Kline Day 2026 at West Chester University! 💜💛
Our nursing students had the opportunity to learn, connect, and grow through an incredible day of inspiration, professional development, and community.
✨ Inspiring Presentations: Sister Agnes Marie Cummings from Penn State University shared insights on Belief as a Mediator of Healing, while Jamla Rizek of Adventures with Nurse Jamla presented Disaster Readiness for Every Nurse. Both presentations were enlightening and empowering, offering valuable perspectives to help our students enter the nursing profession with compassion, confidence, and a commitment to making a difference.
🤝 Career Connections: WCU’s Twardowski Career Development Center organized a career fair, connecting students with prospective employers and exploring exciting opportunities for their futures in nursing.
💬 Learning from Our Alumni: Fifteen amazing alumni representing all of WCU’s nursing programs returned to share their experiences, discuss their specialties, and answer students’ questions. Their insights offered a meaningful glimpse into the many paths a nursing career can take.
💜 Student Involvement: Student cohorts also participated in fundraising throughout the event, demonstrating their commitment to supporting their classes and the WCU nursing community.
