New banner alert! 🚨
Have you seen the newest artwork outside Main Hall? This year’s three-panel banner was designed by Graphic and Interactive Design alumna Eleana Rudderow ’26, winner of the 2026–27 Main Hall Banner Contest.

Created around this year’s College of Arts and Humanities theme, “Arts and Humanities: Informing Our Shared History, Advancing Justice, Strengthening Communities,” Eleana’s design uses different forms of light to represent the past, present and future, and the ways knowledge continues to shape our communities over time.

Take a closer look the next time you’re at Main Hall. The layered design includes details inspired by WCU history, the arts and humanities, sustainability, progress and America250PA.

We’re back, Golden Rams! And we’re kicking off the academic year with a new Student Spotlight.

Meet Joseph E. D. Anderson, our 2026–27 Graduate Assistant for the College of Arts and Humanities Ambassador Program!

Joseph is currently pursuing his M.A. in WCU Philosophy Department at West Chester University and will work closely with our CARHU Ambassadors throughout the academic year, helping strengthen student engagement and create more opportunities for student voices and experiences to be heard across the College.

Originally from Los Angeles, Joseph brings a background in student leadership and competitive debate, along with a passion for helping others grow. Outside of academics, his interests include photography, clothing design, art, and murals.

We’re excited to have Joseph on the team and can’t wait to see what he and our Student Ambassadors accomplish this year!

It may be a rainy day, but we won’t let that rain on our parade ☔️🎓
Can you believe Commencement was almost two weeks ago already? Our camera roll still says otherwise. Congratulations again to the Class of 2026!

As the spring semester officially comes to a close, so does Dean Bacon’s final full semester here at the college .💜

While we’re lucky to have her through June, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate this milestone and everything she has meant to our community. Last week, we honored her with a drop-in party filled with good food, great conversations, shared memories, and so many well-deserved hugs. This past weekend, she also closed out her final commencement ceremony as dean.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to celebrate her, including community members, staff, faculty, students, alumni, and so many more. The turnout was a true reflection of the impact she has had on all of us.

If you have a favorite memory with Dean Bacon or a well wish for her next chapter, share it in the comments below!

Being a student here at West Chester means having a voice. And with that voice, students have the power to create real fundamental change.

Art is political! It provides a voice for those who may not have their own yet, and that kind of art is something our Golden Rams aren’t afraid to shy away from.

Congratulations to all the artists, your art is more than just important, but powerful💜

Final days to see the BFA exhibition are here; catch it before it leaves on May 8.
