2 Sharon Hill Police Officers Charged in Corruption Case
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Two Sharon Hill police officers are facing criminal charges after authorities say they provided confidential law enforcement information to a known drug dealer.
According to the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, Detective Vincent Procopio and Patrolman Domenic Dellabarba are accused of assisting the dealer in exchange for benefits, including co***ne.
Prosecutors allege Procopio informed the dealer about ongoing investigations and whether associates were cooperating with law enforcement. Dellabarba is accused of providing information about active warrants after learning the dealer was under investigation.
Procopio faces charges including possession with intent to deliver, bribery, and tampering with physical evidence, while Dellabarba is charged with obstructing the administration of law and related offenses.
Officials say the case was referred by the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office and will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Public Corruption Section.
The drug dealer involved has not been publicly identified and is cooperating with authorities, though they are also facing charges.
Charges were filed Thursday, and arraignments are pending.
All charges are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
