Connection fuels everything we do at the University of Hartford and our fourth annual Industry Partner Appreciation Breakfast, sponsored by the Allan Center for Career and Professional Development, proved it once again.
On August 13, we welcomed 120 representatives (including many UHart Alumni!) from 73 businesses and associations to campus, including partners from Travelers Insurance, Hartford HealthCare, CVS Health, Special Olympics, Berkley Financial, the City of Hartford, and many more.
This year's event ran as a "Reverse Career Fair" — our deans, faculty, and staff hosted the tables, giving industry partners the chance to explore our programs firsthand and spark new ideas for collaboration.
President Lawrence Ward put it best: "There is no such thing as a great but disconnected university."
Provost Nancy LaGreca echoed that energy, highlighting the strength of UHart's programs across the School of Business, engineering, technology, health professions, and the arts — all rooted in a strong liberal arts foundation.
