☀️💙 Summer Alumni Spotlight!
This week, we’re catching up with Antonella Maccarone ’98, M’11, who recently traveled to her parents’ hometown of Roccamonfina, Italy, for the first time in seven years! Antonella celebrated her 50th birthday surrounded by family, friends, and relatives, all with roots in the same town. Her travels also included beautiful stops in Capri, Ponza, Rome, and Positano. But, as she shared, the most meaningful part of the trip was reconnecting with loved ones and sharing this special experience with family and friends. ❤️

When tax season intensifies and long hours become the norm, even the most disciplined professionals can struggle to maintain their health. PwC employees turned to USJ for guidance on how to stay energized, focused, and well under pressure.

Kaneen Gomez-Hixson, '17, M’19, assistant professor of Nutrition, led a December Lunch & Learn at the firm’s Hartford, Connecticut office, sharing practical, science-backed nutritional strategies that can sustain energy, sharpen focus, and support overall wellness during high-pressure weeks.

Experiences like this reflect a broader commitment within USJ’s Department of Nutrition and Public Health — bringing evidence-based nutrition beyond the classroom and into real-world settings.
