🩸 Learning skills that can save lives!

Last week, senior UHart BSN nursing student Enzo Bonaiuto led a Stop the Bleed training in the Hursey Center, teaching students how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and take action in an emergency.

Future nurses learned three essential techniques to help control bleeding:
✔️ Applying direct pressure
✔️ Packing a wound
✔️ Applying a tourniquet

The University of Hartford's College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions (ENHP) recently launched its new 3+1 Accelerated Education Program, giving students the opportunity to earn their bachelor’s degree in three years and a Master of Education in just one additional year.

Already interested in an accelerated path? UHart also offers a 4+1 Education Program, allowing students to earn their bachelor’s and M.Ed. in five years.
