Do you want to spend a semester at the Korean National Police University? Here are the details how to do that:

The University of New Haven's Criminal Justice Department is seeking applications for the Korean National Police University (KNPU) exchange program for the fall 2015 semester. The selected candidates would leave in late August, 2015, and spend the entire fall semester at the KNPU in South Korea, returning in December, 2015. This semester abroad will entail 15 credits of course work (a normal semester) and consideration will be given to fulfilling as many major (or any minor) graduation requirements as reasonably possible. Any course work not accepted as a major (or minor) requirement will be accepted as elective credit.

This is an exciting opportunity for Criminal Justice students to become immersed in a different culture and gain a first-hand view of policing from an international perspective. The KNPU combines classroom study with physical training to produce supervisory-level officers for the Korean National Police.

To apply for this program, send an electronic copy of your resume and a 300-word personal statement, telling us about yourself and why you would like to represent UNH at the KNPU, to Dr. David Schroeder ([email protected]). Please indicate in the subject line of the email “KNPU Application 2015.” The deadline for applications is March 31st, 2015.
