🤎🌎 Indigenous Peoples’ Day 🌿✨

Today, we honor the rich cultures, traditions, wisdom, and resilience of Indigenous peoples. May we continue to learn from their history, respect their heritage, and celebrate the generations who have protected their lands, languages, and traditions.

May we always remember that honoring the past means respecting the people and cultures who continue to shape our present. 🤎🪶

NRES students recently got to learn from two guest speakers!

Jessica Johnston, a Purdue alum and environmental and sustainability professional at Primient, shared how her background in environmental research and water quality led to her work on sustainability initiatives and technical analysis.

Stasi Brown, Senior Project Manager at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, talked with students about her current projects, shared insights from the field, and discussed opportunities for collaboration.

Thank you both for taking the time to connect with our students and show what a career in environmental science can look like! 💛🖤

Earlier this fall, NRES ambassadors and their mentees kicked off the year with a campus scavenger hunt, tracking down four Purdue landmarks: the Boilermaker statue, Neil Armstrong, the Bell Tower, and John Purdue’s bench.

Teams that finished claimed their prize at the NRES lounge. Swipe to see how it went.

Thanks to our ambassadors for helping new students get to know campus.
