We are teaming up with West Lafayette Parks & Recreation and Lafayette Parks & Recreation to go head-to-head with Indiana University and Bloomington Parks and Recreation during the Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz, Sept 19–26! Whoever records the most observers, observations, and species wins bragging rights (and a trophy presented at Bloomington Bug Fest πŸ†).

All you have to do is grab your phone and snap photos of pollinators using iNaturalist. New to the app? No worries! Come see us at one of our programs and we will help you get started.

Genobee, a genetics-driven service platform, has the potential to help honeybee breeders make smarter breeding decisions, supporting healthier, more productive and resilient colonies. 🐝

Dylan Ryals in the Department of Entomology is advancing the platform as a Purdue Innovates Commercialization Fellow, working with faculty advisor Brock Harpur. With experience in commercial beekeeping, Dylan brings valuable perspective to translating Purdue University research into practical tools and pursuing entrepreneurship as a pathway to real-world impact across the beekeeping industry.
