Women in Philosophy, Purdue University

Women in Philosophy, Purdue University Purdue's Women in Philosophy is a graduate student organization. Our mission is to create a space for celebrating diverse voices of all genders in philosophy.

We aim to

- Provide a space for those with underrepresented voices -- with regard to sex, gender, and/or race -- to network, share ideas, and celebrate the diversity of what it means to do philosophy.
- Improve our visibility, both within our program and in the greater philosophical community.
- Increase the number of women, non-binary, and gender-fluid individuals in the discipline for greater d

iversity and representation.
- Build relationships with other programs and groups that represent the broader connections and applications of philosophy across disciplines.
- Find ways of changing the field such that individuals with diverse experiences are included, interested, and welcomed.

There are already so many syllabi, reading lists, YouTube clips out there that you can access. Please don’t email your Black colleagues for suggestions, they may be already overwhelmed with the trauma of everything going on and don’t need to doll out yet another unpaid education to the rest of us. Give credit where it is due though and do cite them!"

A useful website on the connection between the ongoing pandemic and our dietary behavior run by philosopher Cheryl Abbate (University of Nevada, Las Vegas)

The purpose of Anti-Pandemic Diet is to inform the public about the connection between the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and our dietary behavior.
