Dr. Eugene (“Spaf”) Spafford, CERIAS founder and Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at Purdue University, delivered a security seminar at Purdue University, Indianapolis campus on October 7th.

One highlight from Spaf’s talk, “AI: Cybersecurity Panacea or Existential Threat?”, directly addressed cybersecurity students: “…AI is not replacing you; it’s generating your workload.”

The “Student Welcome and Information Session” event brought together students, researchers, and Purdue’s faculty to explore critical advancements in information assurance, featuring presentations from key technology centers like RCAC/ANVIL, INSC, Envision Center and CERIAS.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an afternoon of rigorous discussion, networking, and academic engagement.
