Lamb School of Communication at Purdue University The Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue University The Lamb School emerged from the Department of Communication at Purdue.

The Brian Lamb School of Communication is named after Brian Lamb, Co-Founder and CEO of C-SPAN and is a new school within the College of Liberal Arts. The School continues and builds upon a 60 year tradition of excellence in scholarship and education in the communication discipline. The Lamb School was approved by Purdue's Board of Trustees in April 2011 effective July 1, 2011.

What a debut!🏆

Congratulations to Petticrew Forum’s, Pratham Sreekantan, a First-Year Engineering student, on an incredible start to his collegiate debate career!

In his first college debate tournament, Pratham was crowned the Varsity Champion at the Washburn Warmup and named the 5th-best speaker in the field. He has also qualified for the NFA-LD National Tournament this spring!

Purdue alum and BGDC mentor Mark Schoeff Jr. recently joined Digital Media Production Center’s Watching Washington to discuss freedom of the press.

Schoeff, president of the The National Press Club and financial services reporter for CQ Roll Call, shared his perspective on the importance of a free press and the role journalists play in our democracy.

Get behind the broadcast!🎥

In COM 49701: Live Sports Broadcasting, students gain hands-on experience producing 30 live home-game broadcasts of the Lafayette Aviators for the Prospect League Channel and local Purdue channel. ⚾️

Students take on every part of the production—from operating four 4K cameras and the replay machine to directing, technical directing and running the switcher. They’ll also have opportunities to go on-air, interview Aviators players, and create podcasts and promotional content.
