Congratulations to the 2025 SPRING Portal project team from Purdue University’s AgBridge Workforce Development Program on receiving the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) Educational Aids Blue Ribbon Award! 🏆

This award recognizes outstanding informational materials that help advance the understanding of agricultural and biological engineering beyond traditional classroom settings. The SPRING Portal team is a great example of that impact in action.

So, what did their team do?

They used some SPRING tools and sensors to build a website that displayed a simplified version of data points. Their website helps educators teach data visualization, like how to read a graph, by using real data published by IoT4Ag, partners and students from a simplified SPRING unit at their school.

Calling all alumni! 🎉
Join us on October 10 for tailgating fun at the ABE building again before we cheer on our Boilermaker football team as they take on Minnesota. Kickoff time is TBD, tailgate will likely be three hours prior to kickoff but we'll confirm once game time is set.
There will be plenty of food, photo ops & a tractor ride up toward the stadium.
Tailgate is free and open to everyone. There is a football ticket block where tickets can be purchased for $41 each. Tickets are limited and might sell out. You will receive the link to purchase football tickets in the registration confirmation e-mail.
Kindly register for the tailgate by September 28 so we can order enough food!

Seven Purdue Engineering students were just named Big Ten Distinguished Scholars for the 2025-26 school year, joining 38 other Boilermaker student-athletes.

Purdue University ABE's Lana Malek (Purdue Golf) and Purdue University SEE's Caroline Frazier (Purdue Swimming and Diving) each pulled off a perfect 4.0 — balancing a full course load with Big Ten competition.
