Starting college with a little momentum can make a big difference. 📚

This summer, 171 incoming Indiana students took part in Purdue’s new Math Momentum program — a five-week experience designed to strengthen math skills, build confidence and help students get connected before the fall semester.

Students earned seven credit hours while practicing study strategies, working with peer mentors and getting familiar with the resources that can help them succeed at Purdue.

A major honor for Mathematics Professor Trevor Wooley!

Wooley has been awarded the 2026 Senior Berwick Prize by the London Mathematical Society for his outstanding 2019 paper, “Nested efficient congruencing and relatives of Vinogradov’s mean value theorem.”

The award recognizes significant mathematical research and adds to Wooley’s long list of contributions to number theory.
