“When I made the decision to return to school, I knew it wouldn’t be easy. As a full-time working professional and father, balancing the responsibilities of career, family and personal growth seemed overwhelming at times. Returning to school after years away was both exciting and intimidating.
“I had started my academic journey earlier in life, but, like many working adults, life responsibilities, family needs and career demands pulled me away from finishing my degree. I always knew I wanted to come back and complete what I had started. I wanted to do it not just for myself, but as an example of perseverance and growth for those around me.
“At one point in my career, I rose to become a director of IT. I thought I was firmly on track toward the next level of leadership. Then life took a dramatic turn. A serious health crisis required me to undergo a five-organ transplant, and overnight my career and future were uncertain.
“Losing that position was devastating, but I refused to let it define me. I knew I needed to come back stronger not only for my career but for my family and for myself. That’s why I chose Purdue Global.
“The flexible online format gave me the chance to pursue higher education while still managing my health, work and family responsibilities. Balancing it all was not easy, but graduating with a 3.95 GPA was more than an academic milestone. It was proof of persistence, sacrifice and hard work.
“Purdue Global wasn’t just a school to me. It was a partner in my comeback. It gave me the tools, support and structure to succeed, even when the odds were stacked against me. My story is a reminder that it’s never too late to come back, move forward and let your life testify to both perseverance and purpose.
