This week's spotlight:Volunteers Around the World (VAW) Global Health Alliances is a humanitarian outreach organization that focuses on providing accessible medical care and educational resources to poverty-stricken communities around the world. We are a Pre-Veterinary based chapter (but you do not have to be pre-vet to join or go on the trips!!) that does outreach work in various foreign countries. This year we are traveling to Peru for two weeks to do outreach work in a handful of veterinary clinics as well as going to the local schools there to educate the children about animal care and health.
