Our department offers the advantages of a small university while providing a wealth of unique and relevant opportunities through both our undergraduate and graduate programs. Students can be involved in research as early as their first year of study and are not only rewarded through the acquisition of applied

and critical thinking skills, but afforded valuable experience presenting their findings at a state, national, and international level. Learn from experienced and renowned professors through one-on-one instruction and experiential learning utilizing modern techniques. We believe in fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for success in your biological field of choice.

Our very own Bree Blum participated in the ASPIRE U Employee Leadership program this year and played an integral role in developing the maps indicating accessible routes on campus for the benefit of our guests and campus community.

Ms. Blum said of the program, "The West Liberty University ASPIRE U Leadership Program was a welcome addition to my academic calendar this year. I initially applied for the opportunity to deepen my understanding of what it takes to be a good leader, but the chance to collaborate with others from the WLU campus community and to get to know them as peers was a wonderful surprise and an added benefit. I highly encourage others to consider participating in the future."
