Monmouth University psychology student at her summer internship working with dolphins.

Hey everyone! My name is Nicole Cappuccino and I am a research intern here at Dolphins Plus for the summer! This fall, I will be a senior at Monmouth University in New Jersey and I will graduate in May with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Health Science. Ever since I was a little girl, marine mammals have been my passion, but I was unsure of my focus within the field. Going forth with my undergraduate career, I quickly realized that I also had a passion for behavioral and cognitive research, so what could be better than putting the two together? Ultimately, I hope to get my Master’s degree, and eventually my PhD, in order to live out my dream as a marine mammal researcher! I chose the Dolphins Plus Research Internship because not only is the location amazing, this internship is directed towards exactly what I want to do for my career. I have learned so much already from the wonderful staff members and have quickly made friends with my fellow interns! I am definitely excited to see what the rest of the summer has in store!
