This year PBA is proud to honor Dr. Jackie Esquiaqui as the Charles and Hazel Corts Award for Outstanding Teaching recipient! She was nominated by both students and faculty for being a dedicated and caring educator who genuinely cares about students, both in and beyond the classroom. In addition to her role as an Associate Professor of Chemistry, Dr. Esquiaqui has been involved with developing online courses, serves as the faculty advisor for the Summer Undergraduate Research program, and serves as the faculty lead for the SACSCOC reaffirmation process. Congratulations, Dr. Esquiaqui!

Each year, a Bible verse is prayerfully selected as PBA's verse of the year. Our 2026-2027 verse is John 15:5. This verse reminds us that we are called to remain rooted in Him, trusting that He will sustain and guide us in every aspect of our lives.

This summer, PBA students used a portion of their break to serve people in several countries around the world. These trips provided opportunities for students to build meaningful relationships, grow in faith, and follow God’s calling. The teams spent time working alongside local churches and groups, facilitating activities, connecting with others, and engaging in fellowship.
