Missouri State University-WP Workforce Development and Community Education We offer credit, non-credit and customized training for the trades. Certificate programs in each of these areas of study are also offered.

Missouri State-West Plains offers the university’s Associate of Applied Science in Technology degree with options in either Advanced Industrial Maintenance, Advanced Welding and Fabrication and Manufacturing & Technology Management. In addition, customized training programs are available on an as-needed basis through the office to area business and industry.

🚨 Healthcare Training Grant Opportunity! 🚨

Looking to start a career in healthcare? This is a fantastic opportunity to receive FREE healthcare training through the EDA Good Jobs Challenge Grant!

Funding is available for the following programs:

βœ… Certified Phlebotomy Technician
βœ… Medical Office Assistant
βœ… Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

Before applying, please note: β€’ You must be 18 years of age or older.
β€’ You must live in one of the following counties: Ozark, Douglas, Wright, Texas, Howell, Shannon, Oregon, Reynolds, Carter, Ripley, Wayne, or Butler.
β€’ Participants are required to complete follow-up reporting through March 31, 2027, including providing credentials earned and employment status updates.

To get started:
1️⃣ Log in to Jobs.MO.gov and create or update your account with all required information.
2️⃣ Upload a copy of your photo ID and Social Security card. Documents may also be securely emailed to [email protected].
3️⃣ If the address on your ID is not current, you will need to provide proof of residence in one of the eligible counties listed above.
4️⃣ Complete and return the required application paperwork.

Once these steps are complete, contact Heather Wolf at 417-256-3158 or [email protected] to schedule an appointment, either virtually or in person, to complete the application process.
