WHAT YOU EAT AFFECTS THE VOICE:

What you eat won’t affect your voice LONG-TERM, but on the day (or even the day before) of your performance, you might want to steer clear of certain foods. Fried foods, dairy, foods very high in saturated fats and yes, that beloved cup of joe should best be avoided before your performance.

Foods more alkaline in nature are a better option like certain fruits and veggies. What you eat really does matter. And so does getting an adequate amount of sleep and staying hydrated a few days before a performance really can make a difference.
