New BadgeStudio Project: Inver Grove Heights Police DepartmentInver

A badge can honor where a department has been while still reflecting where it is today.

Inver Grove Heights Police worked with our BadgeStudio team to create a design that carries important symbols from the department’s past into a new chapter. At the center is a tribute to the department’s original 1965 badge, recreated with the depth and sculpting made possible by today’s Smith & Warren craftsmanship.

The five-point star, surrounded by the department’s core values, is another connection to its history and a nod to the former patch. Together, these details give the new badge a strong sense of continuity while allowing the design to feel distinctly current.

This project is a great example of how a badge can represent both the past and the present.
