Jaelyne says, "My three proudest achievements during my time as a student at the university are creating the intersectionality division in Student Activities and Involvement (SAI), being a peer mentor and graduate assistant in the King/Chávez Scholars program, and becoming Black Student Union president and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. at the same time my senior year. Congratulations to Kacie Hajducki from Mukwonago, Wisconsin, who earned an M.S. in communication sciences and disorders and was hired as a clinical fellow speech-language pathologist with Sidekick Therapy Partners in Knoxville, Tennessee. Kacie says, "My proudest accomplishment has been successfully balancing the demands of being a full-time graduate student while completing clinical placements and maintaining employment in childcare, in addition to serving as a graduate assistant. Throughout my graduate assistantship, I gained a unique perspective on clinical operations, allowing me to view the clinic from a broader lens. A particular highlight of this experience was the opportunity to collaborate with a colleague to present at an early childhood conference, where we shared skills and strategies for working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing. My favorite part of the graduate program has definitely been my external clinical placements. Through these experiences, I had the opportunity to serve as a graduate clinician in a variety of settings, including an early intervention setting at the Racine County Opportunity Center, Milwaukee Public Schools, and a private practice setting at Simply Spoken Therapy. These placements allowed me to work with diverse populations and gain valuable, hands-on experience across multiple service delivery models. I would like to thank Kaia Feggestad, clinic director for the communication sciences and disorders department, for her continued support throughout my clinical placements. She has been an incredible mentor, especially during my graduate assistantship, and has helped guide me through both rewarding and challenging experiences. I have always felt that I could rely on her for support, and even in difficult moments, she remained calm and steady, always focused on helping students grow and ensuring we leave with meaningful clinical experiences. I would also like to thank Cody Marie Busch and Heather Bernhardt for their dedication as clinical supervisors and for being such strong role models throughout my time at UWW."
