📚🏳️‍🌈 Roady the Roadrunner is back with another book giveaway!

In honor of LGBTQ History Month, Roady has hidden the first two books in Rachel Reid’s beloved Game Changers series:

🏒 Game Changer - A grumpy/sunshine romance featuring NHL superstar Scott Hunter as he tries to balance fame, hockey, and a secret relationship.
🏒 Heated Rivalry - An unforgettable enemies-to-lovers story spanning more than a decade as two hockey rivals discover where they belong: on the ice and in each other's hearts.

🔥 Fair warning: both books are a 5/5 on the spice scale, featuring explicit scenes and plenty of steamy moments.

The books have been wrapped, decorated with themed stickers, and hidden somewhere along the path to RHC's Pride Scholars Center. Will you be the lucky reader to find them?

Thanks again to Krafts by Kris for the super cute bookmarks!

Happy reading, and Happy LGBTQ History Month! 🌈📖

Roady is back with another book giveaway! In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Roady is giving away a copy of Solito, a memoir written by Javier Zamora, along with some bookmarks.

This memoir tells the story of 9 year old Javier as he left his friends and remaining family in El Salvador to reunite with his parents who had left El Salvador years before due to the turmoil of the Salvadorian civil war.

A beautifully written and heart wrenching book, Roady hopes you find it and read it. If you do find it, please tag us!

The book is hiding in plain sight on the first floor of the LRC building. Good luck and happy Hispanic Heritage Month reading!

It's a new academic year and RHC Library is continuing with our Hecho at the Library series and our Zine Workshops, always with new themes so you are making something new each time.

Tuesday, September 15, kick off Hispanic Heritage Month by making a mini piñata at our crafty Hecho at the Library event. 11:00 am to 12:30 pm in the Library lounge.

Thursday, September 17, tell your story by making a perzine right next to our new zine wall. How to make a mini zine is always taught but you can put as much or as little into your zine; it's all about you. 12 to 2 pm in the Library lounge.

As always, snacks and materials are free while supplies last. Come by, relax, make something new and entirely for you.

09/04/2026

The Library will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7 for Labor Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 8. Enjoy the holiday weekend!

NEW ZINE COLLECTION!

It took longer than expected but RHC Library's inaugural zine collection is ready for circulation!

After a successful presentation in collaboration with Annette Young from Cypress College Library at RHC's FLEX Day, the new zine collection was launched and is currently on showcase in the RHC Library foyer through August 28, titled Voices in Circulation.

These zines were made by RHC students and staff for the Zine Outreach Project in the 2023-24 academic year and are the first wave of zines to be added to our collection. These are self-published student and community voices worthy of reading that are often left out of mainstream collections. History is in the making and more zines will be added in the coming year.

These can be borrowed, just like our books, so come check them out or browse them in our space.

If you're a RHC student or staff member who's interested in making a zine (and possibly adding it to our collection), come to one of 3 Zine Workshops this semester. We'll be posting soon, so be on the look out. Hope to see you there!
