Newman group travels to Manhattan, Kan., to hear activist Angela Davis

The Newman University Black Student Union partnered with the Ge**er Institue for sponsorship to take a group of individuals to see Angela Davis.

Newman University Multicultural Leadership Organization

Respect, dignity, and equality. These are the fundamental components of Black Lives Matter. We, as Black Student Union, do not believe that the Black Lives Matter movement disagrees with the ideals of All Lives Matter, nor are we demanding “special treatment.” We stand solely for one thing: to see a country where all lives, including black lives, are dealt with in equal measure, given the same benefits, and held to the same laws.

“Do we not all have one Father? Did not one God create us? Why do we profane the covenant of our ancestors by being unfaithful to one another?”

Black Student Union will be selling Black Lives Matter wristbands for $2 to help raise funds for our Student Club. If you would like to get one you can contact [email protected] or we will be selling them at the Women’s Basketball Game today starting at 5:30pm. Thank you for the support and God Bless!
