The public is invited to Pull a Plane for Education on Saturday, March 8. The event raises funds for WSU Tech student scholarships and the upkeep of B-29 Doc.

Today, Dr. Sheree Utash, President of WSU Tech, and Jim Hall, Vice President of Aviation & Workforce Development, joined partners for the announcement of the Heroes MAKE America Airframe & Powerplant Prep Training expansion to Wichita and McConnell Air Force Base. This program provides transitioning service members and veterans with a fast-track path to earning their A&P certification and launching careers in aviation.

As the Air Capital of the World, Wichita depends on a strong workforce. When education, business and industry, and government come together, we create real solutions. WSU Tech is proud to offer this training, ensuring that those who have served our country have the skills and opportunities to continue making an impact in aviation.

This partnership with The Manufacturing Institute, Textron Aviation, Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas, and McConnell Air Force Base is a testament to what can be accomplished when we work together to support workforce development.

Thank you to Congressman Ron Estes, Lily Wu, Col. Aaron Strode, the team at Textron Aviation, and all our partners for making this initiative possible. WSU Tech is honored to be part of this important work.

This weekend, our incredible Veterinary Nurse students stepped up to serve at the Wichita Animal Action League's Free Vaccine Clinic.

🏥 Nearly 300 pets vaccinated
✂️ 70 pets signed up for low-cost spay/neuter services
🦴 1,000 pounds of free pet food distributed

The gratitude and kindness from the community were overwhelming, and we are so proud to be part of this important mission to support pets and their families! A huge thank you to our students, WAAL, and all the volunteers who made this event a success!

Big congratulations to our FutureReady CNA students who recently received their pins! These high school students from Wichita Public Schools are taking big strides toward bright futures in healthcare.

From Spring 2024 to Fall 2024, a total of 95 certifications have been achieved through the FutureReady program—a testament to the impact we’re making in our local high schools!

Great job, students! We can’t wait to see all that you accomplish in the future! 🎉
