The Cohen Honors College aims to support all highly motivated students at Wichita State University by offering challenging interdisciplinary and department courses for Honors students and offering funding for undergraduate research and general education credit for service learning to all WSU students. Cohen Honors College students gain the habits of creative thinking, problem solving and lifelong
learning through coursework, participation in community service and college governance. They benefit from closer contact with faculty (the average student-to-faculty ratio in Honors courses is 8:1), access to scholarships for experience-based learning such as study abroad, and opportunities for individual and collaborative original research to prepare for graduate, professional school, or the demands of today’s global workforce.
