Wichita State University Environmental Finance Center We build capacity for addressing environmental challenges. Most of our work is grant-funded, which means zero cost for communities to tap into our resources.

The WSU Environmental Finance Center builds capacity for addressing environmental challenges so that communities are empowered to take actions that enhance their environmental and financial health to improve quality of life for everyone. We work primarily with local governments, municipal & nonprofit organizations, and Indigenous Nations in EPA Region 7 (Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska). Our

projects span various environmental topics, such as water, air quality, sustainability, conservation, energy efficiency, recycling, pollution prevention, and environmental justice. Yesterday, EFC staff visited our new trash trap for its first clean-up session as part of our Trash Free ICT project. ๐Ÿšฎ Our team and partners installed an in-stream trash collection device in Chisolm Creek at the Great Plains Nature Center. Along with community volunteers, we will count and catalog the trash pulled out of the creek monthly. โ™ป๏ธ
