Program Philosophy
The King’s College Women’s Soccer Program is committed to promoting high levels of quality in soccer education, character, physical development, technical and tactical skill development of its participants. King’s College Women’s Soccer will exercise this belief by offering a demanding and thought-provoking soccer experience. Soccer will be used to instill the qualities of lead
ership, teamwork, dedication, perseverance, loyalty, and skill expansion. Each member of the program is expected to understand that no one player is bigger than the team. These values will be tested and strengthened in the environment of soccer training and competition. Program members will learn to cope with success and failure and to be humble in victory and proud in defeat. We will always strive to be among the very best. Vision Statement
King’s College Women’s Soccer aspires to be one of the best division 3 collegiate women’s soccer programs in the country. Our vision is clear - a winning season, capture the conference championship, and qualify for the NCAA championship tournament. King’s College Women’s Soccer aspires to possess only members who believe that the team is always most important, no one is greater than the team, and hard, intelligent, and relentless work is the way to winning
What is our Recruiting Philosophy? Our overall recruiting philosophy is finding student-athletes that have a passion for the sport of soccer and for King’s College. There is an athletic component as well, and we look for potential for the student-athlete to improve at the next level, but attitude and commitment are far more important than that to us. Will she be a positive representation of the soccer program on and off campus? Is she a team first player or an “I” first player!?! There are so many talented players out there, and we truly think the ones that succeed at the next level have the desire to improve, to work hard, and to fall in love with the process of becoming the best that they can be! Character mean’s everything when you are projecting on how good someone will be down the road as a college senior, those with strong character have a tendency to help improve a program in some way before they graduate. We want those who are passionate about being an important part of our program. When we are passionate about our university/college and our team we have a tendency to go the extra mile to make sure that we leave a lasting impression. Passion for achieving greatness makes your team and organization better
