The Center for Career Development & Internships and the Office of Academic Success are seeking applicants for a Graduate Assistant position for the 2026–2027 academic year.

The Graduate Assistant will support career and internship programming, academic success initiatives, student outreach, workshops, event planning, and peer learning programs while gaining valuable professional experience in higher education.

The position requires 15–18 hours of service per week during the fall and spring semesters.

Go Jacob! 👏🏼

Meet our 2026 summer interns! There are nine incredibly bright young men and women interning at Barry Isett & Associates, Inc. this summer, and we are pleased to introduce you to three of them today:

Zachary Calkins: Zachary is a Penn State Main Campus student studying landscape architecture with a minor in disability studies. Based in our Wyoming Valley office, he brings hands-on landscape experience and a passion for universal and sensory design. Zachary's academic focus includes creating spaces that are accessible and engaging for users of all abilities.

Jacob Harris: Jacob is pursuing a civil engineering degree at Wilkes University and splits his time between our Wyoming Valley and Greater Scranton offices. He brings valuable experience from his work with PennDOT, where he supported roadway and drainage projects across multiple counties. Jacob also helped teach local students about environmental preservation through a community program.

Brent Parnell: Brent is studying survey engineering at Penn State Wilkes-Barre and is based out of our Wyoming Valley office, spending much of his time in the field. He brings a strong work ethic and hands-on experience in landscaping, equipment operation, and outdoor problem-solving. Fun fact, Brent owns and operates his own lawn care business.

Please join us in giving Zachary, Jacob, and Brent a warm welcome! We’re proud to support the next generation of professionals and look forward to the contributions they’ll make this summer. Stay tuned for Part 2 as we continue introducing our 2026 summer interns.
