Class Cancellation

The classes of Traffic Incident Management (TIMS) FIP-7000 and the class of FF/TR Emergency Medical Care FIP-7001 that were schedule for this weekend on main campus have been cancelled.

TIMS will be rescheduled for the date of Saturday July 11th from 0900-1300.

If you need the TR/FF Emergency Medical Care class, please reach out to Stephen Crouse at [email protected] to be put on the list so a make-up date can be made available.

**Class Announcement**

Wilkes Community College will be offering an Initial Emergency Medical Responder Course starting on the date of April 28th 2026.

This course will be offered on the main campus in the Kendrick/Church Hall building located at 337 Stevens Ln. Wilkesboro NC.

Participants interested in this course must be 17 years of age and have a high school diploma or be able to pass a reading comprehension exam at the 10th grade reading level.

**CLASS CANCELLATION**

The FF Fireground Ops 5 class that was scheduled to start on Friday January 24th, 2026 has been cancelled due to the impending weather.

** Upcoming Classes**

We have had some changes to a couple of upcoming classes. If you had a copy of the proposed training schedule, some of those dates have changed.

Correct dates and times of upcoming classes:

All classes are on the Main Campus of Wilkes Community College in the Kendrick Church Hall building.

FF Fireground Ops 3
November 8th, 9th, 15th, and 16th from 0800-1800 each day.
Test on November 16th at 1830.

FF FIreground Ops 4
November 21st from 1800-2200.
November 22nd, 23rd, December 6th, and December 7th from 0800-1700.
Test on December 7th at 1730.

HazMat Ops
Decmber 11th, 12th, from 1800-2200
December 14th from 0800-1700
December 15th and 18th from 1800-2200
December 20th and 21st from 0800-1700
Test on December21st at 1730

**UPCOMING CLASSES**

WCC will be hosting the FF FIreground Ops 1 class on the dates of October 11th, 12th, 18th, and 19th.

Times of the class are 10/11 from 0800-1500, 10/12 from 0800-1700, 10/18 from 0800-1700 and 10/19 from 0800-1400. Test will be on 10/19 at 1430.

FF Fireground Ops 2 will be held on the dates of October 25th, 26th, November 1st and 2nd.

Times for this class will be from 0800-1700 each day. Test will be on 11/2 at 1730.

**Class Announcement**

The EMR/EMT in service class scheduled to meet at Mountain View FD on the date of October 15th has been changed.

This class will now meet on the date of October 13th 2025.

**Class Announcement**

Wilkes Community College will be hosting the Fire Chief 101-2025 course on the dates of September 23rd and 25th. Times of the class will be from 6 - 10 pm each night. Class will be located in the Kendrick Church Hall building on the main campus located at 337 Stevens Ln.

This is the full course for Chief 101-2025. If you need the update course, these are available on line through OSFM 24.

**Class Reminder**

ALL Wilkes County EMS Continuing Education Classes for the month of August will be held on the main campus of WCC in the Kendrick Church Building room 1403.

Class dates and times are August 5th from 7 pm to 10 pm, August 6th from 9 am to 12 pm and 7 pm to 10 pm.
