Last summer, students Skylar Hargerink '27, Emma Hugo '26, and Sharanya Dutt '28 spent six weeks in Kenya's South Rift and Amboseli region! Through their work, they explored Maasai community perspectives on conservation-focused livelihood initiatives, such as beadwork, beekeeping, and tourism. They also collaborated closely with Maasai communities and collaborated with Kenyan researchers Ketito Killeen, Mery Titeu Kimeshua, and Veronica Simaloi Ketente.
