Last but certainly not least, meet Nico Druck! Nico is a senior from Vienna, VA studying Biochemistry and CAMS on the biology track. Nico has been one of the co-captains of Tribe Guard for the last four years and is also one of the founding members. In his free time, he enjoys being a part of the Math Club and being a mentor with the Griffin School Partnerships. After college, Nico plans to work as an EMT or in the ER as a medical scribe or medical assistant before attending medical school. During college, he has had some crazy times, but has managed to maintain a balance between his social and academic lives. Nico’s favorite guard memory was writing appreciation letters to our freshmen with some of our other veteran members on the last day of classes. Thank you, Nico, for all of your hard work and commitment to Tribe Guard. We wish you the best of luck!

Next up on our Sunday Spotlight: meet Marisa Lemma! Marisa is a senior from Sterling, VA majoring in Government and minoring in Economics. She has been one of our co-captains for four years and is also a founding member. On campus, Marisa is involved with the Pep Band and the music fraternity Delta Tau Omicron, and she is also a TA for Italian classes. In her free time, Marisa loves watching Friends and is working extremely hard on writing a book, “The Marching Women,” which will be published soon after she graduates. After college, Marisa will be attending graduate school at UVA to earn a Master of Public Policy. Her favorite memory from her time in Tribe Guard is our first performance with the Pep Band during halftime of the 2018 Homecoming football game. We’re so excited to see the great things Marisa will be up to next year, and thank her for all that she has done for us!

For this week's Sunday Spotlight, meet our very first alum, Casey Caruso! Casey just graduated last semester, and is from Derwood, MD. While a student at W&M, Casey studied Government with a minor in Hispanic Studies. She is one of our founding members, and served as the Treasurer and Social Chair. In her free time, she enjoys going for runs and attending fitness classes at the rec. Her biggest accomplishment from college is completing a marathon in January of 2018. Now that she’s graduated, Casey will be going to law school next semester to become an amazing lawyer. Casey has a few favorite memories from Tribe Guard (don’t we all?) which include the Senior Roast, going to Christmas Town at Busch Gardens, and co-writing a routine to Carol of the Bells. We love you and miss you so much Casey! Good luck at law school!

Next up on our Sunday Spotlight is Emma Hale! Emma is a sophomore from Bethlehem, PA who is studying Chemistry and Psychology. Outside of Tribe Guard, she is the recruitment chair for Nu Kappa Epsilon, the music sorority on campus. She’s not sure what she wants to do after college, but she’ll probably go to grad school and thinks Forensics seems pretty cool! Emma’s biggest accomplishment in college so far was joining a Chemistry research lab that focuses on Organic Chemistry. Her favorite guard memory was writing and performing a routine to Chandelier last semester. Emma will be taking over as one of our co-captains next school year, and we can’t wait to see what she will accomplish in this role!
