As another testament to Penn College students' willingness to be of hands-on service to the community, nine members of the Human Services and Restorative Justice Club volunteered to help with Tuesday night's appearance of Kevin Hines at the Community Arts Center.

Thank you to all of our board and volunteer members for coming together Tuesday night in support of NAMI of North Central Pennsylvania and Kevin Hines Story! A beautiful article by Penn College again, and without every person here, we would not have made it this far. We are incredibly proud of our growing board and members for their commitment to growth and the community! 💙

This Sunday, 9/17, the AFSP Lycoming County Su***de Prevention walk will be happening at Indian Park in Montoursville. The walk begins at 1pm. I am honored to host the first annual Human Services Expo and Speaker Series on Thursday, September 7th at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Designed to connect people with services, programs and supports you and/or your families may need to live healthy, productive and fulfilling lives, this event is free and open to the public.

The Speaker Series will begin at 1pm and feature experts from local agencies. The Human Services Expo is from 3pm – 6pm and will feature vendors, organizations, people, and programs from the 83rd District providing health and human services and supports to our community.

Topics and Areas of Interest include:
- Aging
- Autism
- Behavioral Health
- Children and Adolescents
- Disability (Physical and Intellectual)
- Early Intervention
- Independent Living
- Medical Assistance
- Mental Health
- Substance Abuse
- Veterans

I am also hosting a Pennsylvania House Republican Policy Committee Hearing on ‘Addressing the Mental Health Needs of Rural Communities’ earlier that morning at the college.
