We’re nationally accredited:
Ridgewater College EMS program is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). CoAEMSP (pronounced Co-amps) is the only accrediting body for EMS programs recognized by the American Medical Association, and by NREMT, the agency that does nation

al testing for EMT and Paramedic Certification. While graduates of non-accredited schools are currently allowed to take the national certification exam, this practice will end in 2013. After that only students from accredited schools will be allowed to sit for these exams. You earn college credit:
All of the EMT and Paramedic course work can be applied toward a two year degree . We work to accommodate our students:
While we believe the training should be tough, we don’t believe it should be tough to get to. Our paramedic program is conducted on a flexible schedule that allows students who are currently working in the emergency medical field to come to class on days that accommodate their schedules. For EMT’s we offer night classes in two different locations. We have our priorities right:

Good news for anyone interested in our next Nursing Assistant class starting April 20!

We've pushed back the start time for our Hutchinson Thursday on‑campus skills sessions — instead of starting at 3 PM, they’ll now begin at 4 PM! 🙌

If you’re a high school student within 60 miles of Hutchinson, this gives you extra time to get to campus after school. 🚗💨

And with the class kicking off in April, you can get a jump start on your training before summer break! ☀️📘

In Loving Memory of Bev Hartzburg

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Bev Hartzburg, a beloved retiree and longtime member of our team. Bev dedicated many years of service to Ridgewater College, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, professionalism, and kindness that touched everyone who had the privilege of working with her.

Her presence brightened our workplace, and her contributions will not be forgotten. Bev was more than a colleague - she was a friend, a mentor, and a cherished part of our work family.

Our hearts go out to Bev’s loved ones during this difficult time. We are grateful for the time we shared with her and will carry her memory with us always.
