WHAT HAPPENS WHEN GENERATIONS COME TOGETHER?

In our modern world, we divide up our communities and our activities by age: young people in schools, and older people in retirement communities.

We talk a lot about all the ways we need to help older people. But, perhaps, it's the experience of life in a multigenerational, interdependent, richly complex community that, more than anything else, teaches us how to be human.

How might your life change by building stronger relationships with older adults around you? Real change begins when we choose connection over separation.

Recently, alum and friend of the gerontology program, Haley Kinne-Norris was inducted into the UNCW College of Health and Human Services (CHHS)'s Hall of Fame.
